“Cara and Aelyx only have one day to spend together before he returns to earth and she travels to Aelyx’s home planet, L’eihr. Homesick and worried about the upcoming year apart, Cara is desperate to make these final hours count. Worst of all, Cara is missing Christmas, stuck on board an alien spaceship. When Aelyx learns that Cara is forgoing her favorite holiday, he tries to recreate Christmas in space by researching traditional earth customs…but a few things get lost in translation.
Don’t miss the *free* romantic holiday story that connects ALIENATED & INVADED!”
This novella was adorable. I finished it really late at night (well, like 1 in the morning) in December. It put me in the mood for Christmas, and also made me feel warm and fuzzy about one of my favorite YA couples. Although it does end on somewhat of a sad note because of Aelyx’s departure.
It was a wonderful Sci-Fi Christmas read (which I don’t get to say often.) It’s a perfect bridge between Alienated and Invaded. Also, it really makes me want to go read Invaded.
So that’s definitely happening soon.
Aelyx’s desperate attempt to comfort Cara made me gush. It made me gush more when they cuddled and snoozed at the end.
Seriously, it gave me feels. All the sci-fi feels.
I sound like a crazed fan girl, but I really want an Aelyx of my own to snuggle and nap with me. Which reminds me, I really should re-write and post my Alienated review. It’s kind of a bummer having reviewed books for five years, only to wipe the slate clean and start over.
Ah well. This site has been much easier to manage. Also, it reflects my genuine love of science fiction.
What’s your favorite Sci-Fi? Or your favorite Christmas read? I’m dying to know!
