This week’s topic is
Top Ten New-To-Me Favorite Authors I Read For The First Time In 2015
Carolyn Lee Adams
I read Ruthless, and it was AMAZING, read my review here
Serial Killer, Badass Girl, The Meaning of Strength
Louis Lane: Fallout. While it had it’s flaws, I was entranced with her interpretation of Super Man and Louis Lane. I loved the modern way she kept his identity a secret. I’ll definitely be reading Gwenda’s future works.
Sweetheart Kent, Mischievous Louis, The Daily Planet
I’ve heard loads about Kady Cross, and I’ve always wanted to read her clockwork series, but I’ve never got around to it. But I DID get to read Sisters of Blood and Spirit. Fantastic! (or should I say Phantom-tastic. Hehe) Read my review here.
Chilling End, Scooby Doo Gang, Asylums
Quanta, which is actually the second in a series. The first is written by Aileen Erin, who is also listed in this post. I haven’t written up the review yet, but I love TIME TRAVEL stories. And romance. Scifi + Romance is the key to my heart. Seriously.
Forbidden Love, Human Experiments, Learning to Trust
I read her Alpha Girl series. The first didn’t impress me. But I fell in love with the rest of the installments (so glad I took a chance on getting book two!) That series led me to read her book Cipher, which was the book before Quanta. I’m definitely a fan of both of them now.
Witches, Werewolves, World-building
I read her Best Kind of Broken this year. SWOON WORTHY. Although the first in that series is definitely the best, she has real writing style. I loved the plotline in this one. Of course, I love any best-friend turned romance.
Love Hate Relationship, Emotional Scars, Healing with Trust
Nameless came out just this year. It was so unique, I fell in love! I wish I had a hard copy for myself. I’ll just have to hold my ebook close to my heart. Characterization reminds me a little of Lisa T Bergren.
Warring Clans, Forbidden Love, Brave Uprising
A Madness So Discreet. This book was POWERFUL. GENIUS. It even had a chill inducing title drop at the end. Definitely in the top three books I read this year. (Yes, I will be posting a top ten 2015 post.) You can read my review here
Mad-Genius, Abuse, Revenge
My life with the Walter Boys was ADORABLE. It had been on my shelf for a year, and I finally picked it up. I can’t wait to read more of Ali’s writing.
Funny, Truths of Life With Boys, Adorable Hesitant Romance
Lock & Mori, is another in the top three books I read this year. Sherlock, female Moriarty, tender feelings and hard-headed exteriors? Count me in. PHENOMENAL. Read my review here
Love Hate Relationship, Betrayal, Tender Love
Trouble is a Friend of Mine rocked my world. I absolutely fell in love with Digby, and I can’t wait to read it’s sequel. In fact, I have an interview with Stephanie that will be posted on the 15th. You should definitely come back for that.
Hilarious, Gentle Affection, Trouble
