Hi guys! Welcome to the Cover Color Challenge! This year I’ve decided to host a few memes. This is the only one that’ll run all year long. Don’t worry, you don’t have to participate every month. Feel welcome to join even if it’s December! Just remember to link up so I can follow you.)
The purpose to the Cover Color Challenge is to whittle down my TBR’s. I know LOADS of memes focus on TBR’s, but I just like dividing it by color instead of genre or whatever. I’m a really visual person, so it’s ironic that I’m colorblind.
It’s also an easier way for me to pick what to read, when I can narrow it down to 30 or so. Also, the mini-challenge of seeing how many of one color I can read in a month is oddly motivating.
I think others will find it fun too!
So, here are the rules:
- The Book’s cover must have the color of the month somewhere on it. It’s ok if it’s just the dominate color. I’m not going to be super judge-y about it….because I’m colorblind. If you think it qualifies as red, go ahead.
- You have to read that book during the month the color is chosen. (ex: Don’t count a book for January that you read in December.
- Link up & have fun! *don’t forget the banners!! Grab and use them if you’d like.
- A ‘winner’s’ badge will be given to all participants. Every book read is a win in my book!
The overall banner links to the master post, which lists all the colors for the months of 2016.
*drowns under books*
Wow. So. Many. Books.
Like I mentioned, I decided to make this meme so I could tackle my TBR’s in a new, fun way. I know of a few groups doing a color challenge, but all of them had colors of the month that had nothing to do with the month itself.
That’s usually fine, but I knew I’d never remember which was which. So I decided to pick these colors as close to the month’s birthstones. Feel free to make your own post and link up!
I picked light blue as March’s color. I didn’t realize how many books I have with light blue covers. There’s no way I’ll be able to read all of them. But here’s a few
Here are some of my light blue books!
And here are a few I’ve already read this month!
